This past weekend I got to spend my time at the world renowned New York Fashion Week! You already know how excited I was for this opportunity.
New York Fashion Week, held in February and September each year, is a series of events when fashion designers from around the world show off their collections to buyers, the press, and the public. New York is one of four major locations around the world that hosts a fashion week. Collectively known as the “Big 4,” the others are held in Paris, London and Milan.
This was my first time attending New York Fashion Week outside of Tommy Hilfiger‘s show in September 2015 after spending that summer interning for the brand. (Check out my post How to Dress Like a Hilfiger Model to see some of my experience!)
I was invited by Nolcha Shows to sit front row at their runway shows as a fashion influencer. Nolcha Shows is an event solely showcasing independent fashion designers. According to their website, over the past nine years the Nolcha Shows have become established as a platform of discovery; promoting cutting edge innovative fashion designers through runway shows and exhibitions. The showcase consistently receives positive media coverage including features in Forbes, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Glamour, and Cosmopolitan and is supported by brands including SmartWater, American Airlines, and LandRover.
Nolcha Shows put on a great event and I ended up networking and making some new friends in the process!
I can’t believe my experience is over but I can’t wait to go again in the Fall!
