I love traveling so much. It makes my spirit more than just happy, it makes it flourish. I have prioritized traveling as a necessary part of my journey in life and I am having serious withdrawals!
I haven’t been somewhere new since this past summer when I was working in Baltimore. And the last place that really made its mark on my heart was the UAE and I haven’t been since June. Check out my experience there in some of my other posts: Platinum Heritage Desert Safari, Dubai, Visiting The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi, City of Gold | Dubai’s Famous Gold Souk, and more!

Part of the reason I love to travel is because to participate in or even just observe a different way of living can open your eyes wider than you ever thought possible. You learn new things about different people, cultures, and ways of life that allow you to begin to frame new truths and understanding. You’ll realize how little you actually knew about the world and hopefully you’ll see how interconnected humanity really is. I have more thoughts on this idea in my post: Postcards from Paradise: Why You Need To Travel The World.
With all of our earthly responsibilities, sometimes it becomes difficult to find time (or money!) to travel. But because of my understanding about how positively traveling can affect you and your spirit, I have made it an integral part of my personal self-care. Even taking small trips every so often and consistently pushing yourself to broaden your experiences is necessary and extremely important. You don’t always have to travel with friends either! Being by yourself in a new environment challenges you in ways that would’t be possible with others around, ultimately pushing your boundaries by leaps and bounds. I yearn for the lessons that traveling will bring me and how God will work through my experiences to shape me even further. I can’t wait for my next trip!
Let me know your thoughts on traveling and if you have any favorite places you love to go, comment them below!
xoxo, Arielle
