IT’S TRUE. What is this sorcery?! Why hasn’t anyone told us about this sooner?!

There are so many expensive options out there, but I’ve got an amazing secret for you all! Vanity Planet was selling hand held LED devices and they are so freakin’ fantastic I can’t even believe they’re real. I had the blue and green light LED panels for over 6 months and they have literally transformed my skin. (Only when I use them consistently though… I get lazy sometimes. Such is life.

The Benefits of LED Light for Skin

LED Light Therapy is based on research done by NASA (so cool!) showing that certain frequencies of light significantly increase new tissue growth, stimulate collagen production, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It is proving to be an effective treatment for aging skin as well as particular conditions such as Rosacea, acne, and other skin conditions.

This breakthrough technology does not use heat or any kind of “invasive” process, but triggers the body to convert light energy into cell energy without thermal heat. LED light therapy is non-invasive, causes no inflammation, and requires no special post-treatment procedures. LED treatments are also painless, carry no risk of burning, and effects are immediate!

Blue Light

The Blue LED helps kill bacteria, reduces inflammation, and inhibits sebum (oil) production. Therefore it can be used in the treatment of acne.

However, because of the anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties of red light, blue light is usually used in combination with red light therapy for best results (but even so, I have used it alone and I have seen a noticeable difference in my skin!).

Red Light

The Red LED helps improve skin’s ability to heal and generate new collagen and elastin. It is used for its anti-aging benefits to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to reveal a smoother and more youthful complexion. It’s also particularly useful for improving overall skin tone and healing blemishes.

Thanks to the additional collagen production, red light strengthens the skin making it a very effective treatment for rosacea and reducing redness associated with broken or weak capillaries. It can also helps the skin to retain moisture more effectively.

Green Light

The rejuvenating benefits of green light therapy can help to improve pigmentation issues that have come from causes such as sun damage. This treatment can help to fade the appearance of freckles, age spots, sun spots, reddish/brown patches, and liver spots. Other forms of hyper pigmentation and melanin problems can also be lightened through the use of this light therapy.

Green light affects the melanocytes (the cells that produce melanin, which is the pigmentation in the bottom layer of the epidermis), reducing its production. Over time, spots simply fade away for a younger looking, rejuvenated, and more even complexion.

After your first treatment with green LED light, your hyper pigmentation might appear darker than before. But don’t worry, this is normal! After the second and third treatments, the spots will begin to disappear completely!
