5 Affordable Valentine’s Day Ideas

Another Valentine’s Day is yet again around the corner. If you don’t have any plans yet, don’t worry! I’ve got some great ideas to help you have a super fun night with your friends (or significant other)!

Netflix and Chill

This phrase has become a huge part of millennial vocabulary. If you haven’t heard the term, it’s basically a euphemism for hooking up. But this doesn’t have to be all that it is! How about you grab a group of your friends, pop some popcorn, and turn on some Netflix. Watching movies with friends is always fun!

Wine and Onesies Party

Take the night to invite some of your friends over, drink some wine, bring some snacks, wear your onesies and dance the night away!

Karaoke Night

Who doesn’t love karaoke?! ‘Nuff said. Invite over some friends and sing your hearts out!

White Elephant Party

Everybody loves surprises and presents! If you don’t know how to play White Elephant, it’s pretty simple. Here is a link to the rules. To step it up a notch, how about you make it a potluck night as well! C’mon, everybody loves presents and food!

Spa Day

If you’re not in the mood to party with friends, how about you take the night to pamper yourself.

Step 1: Get in the mood. Slip into a robe, play your favorite relaxing music, light some incense or candles, and sip on some champagne. Time to quiet your mind.

Step 2: Facial Steam. The hot water will relax you, open your pores, and prepare you for your next treatments. Add a few drops of essential oil, fresh herbs, or even tea leaves. Place a towel over head to help trap the steam and breathe in deep through your nose. Steam for 10 minutes and move on to the next step.

Step 3: Body and Face Scrub. Use any exfoliating body scrub recipe that you love and apply it in the shower.

Step 4: Hair Mask. Apply any oil hair mask or hair treatment of your choice, and wrap your hair in a towel.

Step 5: Quiet Bath. Don’t forget to dim the lights, light some candles, and have your music playing.

Step 6: Quick Rinse. Take a quick rinse-off shower and use a clarifying shampoo to get that mask out of your hair.

Step 7: Facial Mask. Get back into your robe and put on any face mask you have on hand.

Step 8: Foot Wrap. While masking, apply any foot cream to your feet and put plastic wrap around them. Wrap your feet in a hot towel and leave on for up to 20 minutes.

Step 9: Sleep. Remove your foot wraps and rinse your facial mask off with warm water. Apply your usual night time routine (check out my skin care routine for some suggestions! Link here) and hop in the bed!

Regardless of how you choose to spend this night, I hope it’s filled with love and laughter! I hope these suggestions helped some of you think of how to spend your Valentine’s Day, enjoy!
